If You're Happy and You Know It...
We sing this all the time. Yesterday was the first time we tried without mama clapping. Luckily, we got a repeat performance for the iPhone.

11 Months Old
We celebrated Raleigh's 11 month birthday on Cocoa Beach. Raleigh seemed to like watching the waves and the people, but doesn't care much for the sand or getting in the ocean. We had a great day filled with walks on the beach, naps and a few photos at sunset. It was pretty nice to put Raleigh on a towel on the beach and not have him crawl away because he didn't want to touch the sand!
Raleigh continues to figure out how to interact with his world and how to make the people he sees smile. Raleigh added blowing kisses and smacking his hand to his head like he forgot something to his repertoire this month. He loves to make dad laugh by popping up when he's almost asleep and clapping. He clapped for half an hour tonight before going to bed. Shaking his head "no" is often followed by shaking his head "yes".
Raleigh is getting quite good at standing, and doesn't even get excited for himself when he realizes he's standing alone.
Raleigh has four teeth now, which he uses to eat crackers.
Speech is coming along. His first three words were mama, dada and baby. We don't know when they became official words, but they are quite recognizable now. Once we asked Raleigh to say "baby" while we were in the car. It took Raleigh a few tries, and then he said a very clear "baby" followed by giggles and kicks for joy. He did it!
